April 18, 2022: Assam Congress youth leader and spokesperson and Secretary of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Partha Pratim Bora joined Asom Gana Parishad today, April 18, a day after former Assam Congress Chief Ripun Bora joined TMC.

Welcoming Bora, a lawyer by profession, AGP President and Assam Agriculture Minister in Himanta Biswa Sarma Cabinet, Atul Bora said that joining of Bora would attract the youth towards AGP and help in making AGP much stronger as a party.

Joining AGP, Bora said that he would work for the welfare of the people of Assam and the region. He said that he feels inspired by the work and ideologies of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, a BJP man. AGP is an ally of BJP in Assam. AGP was born after the success of the Assam agitation of 1979 against Bangladeshi infiltration into Assam.
