February 6, 2023: Assam Police have arrested total of 2441 persons in connection to child marriage-related cases across the state so far.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Total arrest so far - 2441. Crackdown against Child marriage continues in #assam”.

The action against child marriage in the state began from February 3 and Assam CM informed that it will continue in the coming days.
