July 11, 2020: Assam Police has been a pioneer in utilising the potential and power of social media in discharging its duties and responsibilities.

The same can be seen during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that the world is going through.

Recently, one of the district Twitter handles of Assam Police, Nagaon Police has come to limelight with its new creative poster of the movie “Radhe Shyam” which features actors Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, to spread awareness about the novel coronavirus pandemic and urging the citizens to wear face masks in order to prevent the transmission of the virus..

The Nagaon Police used photoshop to add masks to Prabhas and Pooja's faces in the poster in which the actors were caught in an intense moment.

"Our perfect Radhe Shyam of 2020," reads the caption on the photoshopped poster.

"Ask your loved ones to put mask whenever they are out. We tried calling Prabhas but failed. Now, sending the message through photoshop," Nagaon Police said in the caption of their post.

The tweet has now gone viral with over 4,800+ retweets in Twitter.

The Assam Police is surely finding ways to create awareness in a creative manner along with winning hearts of many.

Till July 10, 431 Assam Police personnel have tested positive out of which 165 have recovered. Sadly, one of them, namely Hav. Hareswar Nath, 16 IRBn, who tested positive for coronavirus on July 7, passed away on Friday.

It may be added that Assam has a total of 15536 COVID-19 positive cases out of which 9848 have recovered and 5650 are active cases. Till now 36 patients have passed away due to the virus.
