May 8, 2023: The death toll in Kerala Boat Capsize Incident rises to 22, according to the officials said on Monday.

Reportedly, the boat carrying 30 passengers overturned and sank near Thoovaltheeram beach on Sunday evening. The people who were rescued from the water were admitted to different hospitals for their treatment.

However, search operations are underway as several people are still feared to be trapped under the boat.
