June 28, 2022: As many as 38 students of Karara Higher Secondary School in Kamrup district of Assam are in a fix and extremely worried. They do not know what to do next.

These students have been declared fail in the Higher Secondary exams organized by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. But they failed not because they did not get pass marks but because the marks for their practical exams never came from the teachers and did not get added to the total marks.

It is not just the students but their parents too are worried.

This is nothing less than utter carelessness on the part of the teachers and the school authorities. This also means that no one cares for the future of the students.
