August 5, 2020: With single-day spike of 52,509 in last 24 hours India's COVID19 tally has crossed 19-lakh mark on Wednesday.



The total number of positive cases is 1,90,8255 including 5, 86,244 active cases 1,82,216 cured or discharged and 39,795 deaths with new cases  857 deaths in the last 24 hours.



With 4866 fresh cases, Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state in the country with 1,42,458 active coronavirus cases. Till now, 2,99,356 people infected with the disease have recovered or been discharged from the hospital so far in the state. A total of 16,142 people have died so far in the state due to the new coronavirus.



Tamil Nadu registered 1,546 fresh cases, taking the state tally to 55,152. Till now, a total of 20,8784 people have recovered or been cured from the novel coronavirus in the state.

Andhra Pradesh recorded a spike of 2,727 coronavirus cases on Wednesday. With this, the active cases in Andhra Pradesh stood at 79,104.



Delhi, which has seen a dip in fresh coronavirus cases, recorded 310 cases in the last 24 hours on Wednesday. With this, the active coronavirus cases in Delhi stood at 9,897. Till now, 4,033 people have died so far in Delhi due to the disease.
