July 13, 2020: India registered 28,701 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, taking the total to 8,78,254 according to the Union Health Ministry.



As per reports, India recorded 3,01,609 active cases while 5,53,471 have recovered so far. The death toll rose to 23,174 after 500 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.



Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases.

With 2,54,427 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state in the country. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, the state has reported 10,289 COVID-19 deaths so far. As many as 1,40,325 patients have recovered.



With 1,12,494 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, Delhi remains severely impacted. The national capital has reported 3,371 COVID-19 deaths so far. As many as 89,968 patients have recovered.



Odisha’s COVID-19 case tally rises to 13,737 with 616 new cases in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries now stand at 8,750. There are 4,896 active cases in the state.
