August 29, 2020: Probe into Friday's incident at Lalung Gaon has started. Police have got some vital leads in the case.

As police probe begins, they are learnt to have recovered 2 empty cartridge from the spot. They have also obtained the footage of the CCTV cameras and are examining the visuals. Guwahati Commissioner of Police Munna Prasad Gupta informed DY365 that the probe is moving in the right direction and hoped to get a breakthrough very soon. 

According to police, a gang of 4 was behind the attack which took place at around 8.20 PM on Friday. Police have zeroed in on a blue color Hyundai Eon car which is suspected to have been used in the case.

Some miscreants had attacked the employees of Gupta Marbles, a marble seller at Lalung Gaon on Friday evening and looted a bag of cash from them after firing in the air.
