October 8, 2020: The ongoing indefinite “Chakka Bandh” continues to impact normal life in the state for the fourth day.

Despite the government providing ASTC buses in Guwahati, the woes of passengers have not ended. Due to limited buses running through the city, passengers have to wait for a long period on bus stops as due to the ongoing COVID pandemic only 50% of the passengers can be carried.

It maybe stated that the meeting of All Assam Motor Transport Association with the state govt on October 6 was not fruitful which resulted in the former continuing the bandh.
