August 14, 2020: Assam health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma has lashed out against APCC president Ripun Bora for the latter's allegation of rampant corruption in the Covid management in the state.

Replying to Bora's charge that Rs 5 thousand have been spent on procuring buckets and mugs for the covid care centres, Sharma said that Bora was thinking so as such corruption had happened during Akon Bora's tenure.

Claiming that corruption has gone down now a days, he accused the Congress of indulging in negative things during Corona and urged his former party colleague not to commit sins anymore.

Commenting on the Congress-AIUDF alliance, he said that this is going to be a bad omen for Assam politics and Congress will be the loser for this.
