August 4, 2020: Guwahati is experiencing extreme heat wave since Monday with the mercury level continuing to rise.
On Monday, the city recorded the maximum temperature of 38 degree celsius. This was the highest temperature recorded in the city this year so far
The weather department predicts no respite from this heat wave for the next 48 hours. According to the Met department forecast, the sky may be partly cloudy for the next 2 days with possibility of one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
However, this will bring no relief from the scorching heat.
With the offices and business establishments opening, the scorching heat has made life miserable for the city dwellers.
The heat wave is experienced in other places of the city too.
