January 19, 2021: The Congress party will go with the All India United Democratic Front(AIUDF) in the coming assembly election in Assam.

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Ripun Bora on Tuesday formally announced the alliance, ending months of speculations.

Apart from the AIUDF, the party will have alliance with CPI, CPI(M) and Anchalik Gana Morcha.

The announcement was made in presence of AICC observer and Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Waghel, AICC Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh and AICC leader Mukul Wasnik apart from AIUDF, CPI, CPI(M) and Anchalik Gana Morcha.
