October 24, 2020: In operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Bangaladeshi cattle smuggler and rescued 34 cattle heads from the bordering areas of Coochbehar, Dhubri and South Salmara on Friday night.

Acting on tip off, troops of BSF BOP Jamaldah of 140 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in Khasbas-202 village in Coochbehar district and apprehended one Bangladeshi cattle smuggler along with cattle, while these were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

Besides above, BSF also rescued 34 cattle in various other operations from bordering areas of Coochbehar, Dhubri and South Salmara while the same were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
