June 9, 2020: A massive fire broke out at the oil well in Baghjan Oil Field in Tinsukia district following a blast on Tuesday.

As per reports, the blast occurred at a time when the experts and engineers of Oil India Limited were engaged in controlling the gas and oil emission which has continued on the site after the blowout on May 27.

Many fire tenders and the top officials of the district administration, Oil India Limited have rushed to the site.

A team of NDRF also reached the site and around 600 families have been taken to the relief camps.

An expert team from Singapore had also arrived at the site on Monday to control the situation and had discussed with the Oil India Limited and ONGC teams about the situation.
