August 31, 2020: Congress MLA from Mariani Rupjyoti Kurmi was expelled for the remaining session of the Question Hour on Monday.

During the discussion on Assam Accord Implementation, Kurmi accused the government of not being sincere to implement the Accord in toto. Amidst the discussion, he referred to the AIIMS agitation at Raha and alleged that the widow of martyr Mintu Talukdar has not got the salary for her job.

Despite the Speaker's request, he continued his speech on the matter. Then the Speaker expelled him from rest of the Question Hour.

Later coming out of the assembly, he alleged that he was expelled because he was raising his voice for the people of Assam.
