July 16, 2020: The number of COVID-19 cases has crossed 19000 mark in Assam with 1088 new cases detected on Wednesday.

Informing this Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 1088 new #COVID19 ve+ patients in Assam, 649 in Guwahati alone.

Recovered 12888

Active cases 6815

Deaths 48

It may be mentioned that currently in Assam the total number of COVID-19 cases stands at 19754 out of which 6844 are active whereas  of them 12888 have recovered successfully.

On the other hand, the death toll has risen to 48 in the state.
