July 29, 2020: On Tuesday, total COVID-19 cases in Assam crossed 34000 mark with 1371 new cases. 
Informing this, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 1371 new #COVID cases detected in Assam out of 22876 tests done in last 24 hrs. Positivity rate continues to be low at 5.9%.

On the other hand on Tuesday, 1216 patients were discharged after they tested negative for the virus.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state now stand at 34947 - out of which 9454 are active cases whereas 26618 have been recovered. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen up to 88.
