The death toll due to COVID-19 in the state has gone up to 48, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed.



The deceased have been identified as Hira Devi (45) from Kamrup Metro and Dr Pradip Kumar Sharma (75) from Tinsukia were all succumbed to the infection.



Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Very sad to share that Smt Hira Devi (45) from Kamrup Metro & Dr Pradip Kumar Sharma (75) from Tinsukia succumbed to #COVID19 today, as per the report of Death Audit Board of Assam.
