July 7, 2020: At least, 308 Assam police personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 out of whom 68 have recovered, informed Assam Police's ADGP GP Singh on Tuesday.

Taking to Twitter, GP Singh tweeted, " July 7th 2020 -  @assampolice 308 personnel tested positive for Covid till date, out of whom 68 have recovered.  @DGPAssamPolice @nhm_assam @CMOfficeAssam". 

The situation turned grim in Assam with the state reporting its biggest ever single day spike last Saturday with 1,202 new cases. 

As of 7 July 2020, the Government of Assam has confirmed 12,522 COVID 19 positive cases including 7,882 recoveries, three migrations and 14 deaths in the state.
