August 31, 2020: The total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 105774 in Assam as 1980 cases were detected out of 34102 tests done in last 24 hours, Health Minister informed on Sunday.

Out of new cases, 453 are from Kamrup (M), 239 from Nagaon, 134 from Jorhat and 107 Cachar.

The total positive cases include 21548 active cases, 83927 recovered patients, 296 deaths and 3 migrated.

Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1980 #COVID cases detected today out of 34102 tests done in last 24 hours

Positivity Rate- 5.80%                                     

Kamrup M- 453, Nagaon- 239, Jorhat- 134, Cachar- 107

Total cases 105774

Recovered 82510

Active cases 22965

Deaths 296”

It may be mentioned that 1417 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice.
