Two earthquakes magnitude 6.4 and 5.8 hits Turkey’s southernmost Hatay province area on Monday evening

February 21, 2023: Two earthquakes magnitude 6.4 and 5.8 hits Turkey’s southernmost Hatay province area on Monday evening.



According to some reports, three people have been killed and several persons have been injured in the earthquakes.



The first earthquake took place at a depth of 16.7 kilometres whereas on the other hand, the second one took place at a depth of 7 km.



The two fresh earthquakes jolted again after two weeks of deadly Turkey-Syria massive earthquake where over 40,000 people lost their lives and more than ten thousands of people have been injured.



All the NDRF rescue teams, Indian Army Medical teams and a specially trained squad dog from India who were deployed under “Operation Dost” returned from Turkey and Syria.
