September 23, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-profile roundtable meeting today with 15 leading American technology CEOs, focusing on innovation and collaboration within India's burgeoning tech landscape. This significant event took place at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel as part of PM Modi's three-day visit to the United States.
Hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering, the roundtable brought together industry giants specializing in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. Notable attendees included Sundar Pichai of Google, Jensen Huang of Nvidia, and Shantanu Narayen of Adobe.
Following the meeting, PM Modi shared his reflections on X, stating, “Had a fruitful roundtable with tech CEOs in New York, discussing aspects relating to technology, innovation, and more. Also highlighted the strides made by India in this field. I am glad to see immense optimism towards India.”
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) elaborated that discussions centered on cutting-edge sectors, particularly emphasizing India's commitment to promoting 'AI for All.'
