February 12, 2023: The death toll due to massive earthquakes in southern Turkey and Syria has now risen to over 28,000, leaving more than ten thousands of people injured.



The seventh operation Dost flight from India reached earthquake-hit Syria on Sunday with over 23 tons of relief material which was received by Deputy Minister of Local Administration & Environment Moutaz Douaji at Damascus airport. The IAF aircraft with relief materials, medical aid, and emergency and critical care medicines will first unload the materials in Syria and then will head to Turkey.



Under 'Operation Dost', India is sending a massive amount of humanitarian aid to Turkey and Syria.



The devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.8 happened in Turkey and Syria on February 6th, 2023.



The search operation is still underway as several people are feared to be trapped under the rubble.
