February 5, 2023: The death toll in forest fires has increased to 22 in Chile, according to official.
According to sources, around 1,429 people are in shelters, 554 were injured and 16 are in serious condition after suffering severe burns.
Amid the summer heatwave, around 14,000 hectares of land were destroyed as dozens of wildfires raged in Chile.
