August 20, 2020: Gmail suffered massive outage worldwide with some users complaining that they can’t send any attachments or documents while a few others reported that they have not been able to log in at all.



It has been over an hour that people across the world are facing this issue.





Google acknowledged the issue being faced by users and said, “We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 8/20/20, 1:39 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem.”



Google apps status page has also updated to confirm that they’ve received reports of issues related to Gmail. Users have taken to Twitter and DownDetector website to talk about the issues and highlight the problems they are facing with Google’s services.



Users are also complaining about issues connecting to some of the G suite services like Google Drive, Google Doc. But most users are facing issues with Gmail.





Commenting on the issue, Google noted, “We’re investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly.”



This is the second time in two months that Gmail has suffered such massive outage. In July this year, Google users had a harrowing time in India as Gmail services went down for hours.
