According to the National Health Commission, there were 99 fresh cases of infection, with a rise in the new cases outside the virus epicentre of Hubei province for a third consecutive day.



 



 



 



 



There were 25 new cases reported outside the central province, which remains under lockdown in a bid to control the spread of the virus.



 



 



 



 



Health officials also reported 24 confirmed imported cases -- fuelling fears in China that infections could swell again as people get infected overseas.



 



 



 



 



At least 15 deaths have been reported across the US due to the disease. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have reported at least 164 confirmed cases, while news reports say cases have surged close to 300.



 



 



 



 



In South Korea, authorities reported 483 new cases of infections on Saturday, bringing the total close to 7,000, according to the sources.
