November 13, 2022: The Iranian who got stuck in Paris Airport for 18 years, the man who inspired Hollywood’s legendary Director Steven Spielberg to create “The Terminal”, a movie based on his life’s true incidents has died at the terminal.

Mehran Karimi Nasseri died of natural causes on Saturday in terminal 2F at Charles de Gaulle Airport at the outskirts of French capital.

Nasseri was trapped in an immigration problem and wasn’t allowed to enter France. With nowhere to go, he became dependent on an unusual place to stay. As time passed by he became famous nationally and internationally.

Nasseri called himself “Sir Alfred” and small section of airport parquet and bench became his home.

Nasseri’s peculiar yet true story grabbed the attention of Hollywood fame Steven Spielberg. Spielberg directed a movie “The Terminal” in 2004 which starred Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The movie was based on Mehran’s true life incidents.
