August 3, 2021: In a shocking turn of events, famous Indian rapper and Bollywood singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has landed in legal trouble. A case has been filed against the singer by his wife Shalini Talwar under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. According to News agency ANI, a court in Delhi has issued a notice to the singer and has asked for his response.

New agency ANI confirmed the report by stating, "Case filed against Bollywood singer & actor 'Yo Yo Honey Singh (Hirdesh Singh) by his wife Shalini Talwar under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Delhi's Tis Hazari Court has issued notice to the singer and sought his response over it."

Yo Yo Honey Singh is yet to release any statement regarding these allegations levelled against him. The court has asked him to reply before August 28. As per a report in India Today, "the court has also passed interim orders in favour of Shalini Talwar, restraining Honey Singh from disposing off his jointly owned property etc."

Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini's love story, the two got married on January 23, 2011, after secretly dating each other for almost two decades. It was a traditional Sikh wedding at a farmhouse in Delhi. However, it was only in 2014 when Yo Yo Honey Singh introduced his wife to the audience for the first time in an episode of the reality show, India's Raw Star.

With Shalini moving the court for domestic violence plea against the rapper, it's left to see what turn does this case takes hereafter.
