October 4, 2023: Actor Ranbir Kapoor on Wednesday was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in an online betting app case.

According to sources, the actor is asked to present in front of the agency on October 6. The case pertains to a money laundering probe against the founders of the Mahadev betting app case- Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal.

The actor took money in cash for the promotion, officials said.

The Mahadev online betting app provides platforms for illegal betting in different live games such as card games, cricket, badminton, tennis, football and others, even providing an avenue to bet on different elections in India.
