November 5, 2020: Republic TV Editor in Chief Arnab Goswami has filed a plea in Bombay HC challenging his illegal arrestby the Mumbai Police on the morning of November 4 in connection with the FIR regarding abetment of suicide of Anvay Naik.

The matter will be heard today by Bench of Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik at 3 pm.

Goswami has sought interim stay on the investigation of the FIR and protection from any possible coercive steps against him or his Republic TV employees.

Goswami was arrested by the police yesterday and produced before the Alibaug Court . He was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
