October 29, 2020: Huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered by Chirang Police on Thursday. The recoveries were made during search operation conducted by Chirang Police at two different locations.

A massive search operation was conducted by the Chirang Police led by ASP (HQ), DSP (HQ) Chirang, CI Runikhata and I/C Shantipur PP and staff  in  - Ranipur and Amlaiguri and a huge cache of arms and ammos were recovered.

The recovered arms and ammunition include: One 9 mm Carbine with magazine, seven factory made Pistols with magazines, two Chinese Hand Grenades, 25 rounds live ammunitions, one AK series Rifle along with two magazines, 50 rounds live ammunition of 7.62 m.m and one pen pistol.
