July 27, 2021: The Moreh Battalion under the aegis of IGAR(S) foiled cross border smuggling of contraband items in Manipur’s border town Moreh on 26 July.



According to a press release, during the routine patrolling along the Indo-Myanmar border, the troops observed suspicious movement of individuals on a two-wheeler.



On being challenged by the security forces to stop, the suspected individuals abandoned their two- wheeler and escaped in to the jungle. On checking the area, the troops found a bag containing nearly 2 lakhs WIY tablets.
