March 31, 2023: Another violence broke out in the Shibpur area of Howrah in West Bengal on Friday a day after a huge Islamists mob pelted stones on the streets during the Ram Navami procession on March 30.

The procession was carried out by Hindu participants in Vadodara, Gujarat. Many vehicles have been damaged.

The violence broke out amid tight security. Police personnel used tear gas shells as the mob threw stones on the streets, attacked police vehicles and set them on fire, vandalised the shops and attacked media persons also.

As per sources, at least 36 people have been arrested following the clashes in Shibpur.

The situation is brought under control.
