September 25, 2021: D Ranjith, a 27-year-old from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, who even after being a differently abled candidate with hearing and speech impairment, cleared the Civil Service exam in his very first attempt and secured 750th Rank.





His mother, who reportedly did her BEd in special education and taught him lip reading, was lost for words after the results on Friday. Ranjith, a topper among differently abled students who wrote the exam in Tamil, is likely to get the coveted IAS.

The UPSC CSE 2020 final results were declared on September 24, with a total of 761 candidates being recommended for appointment to various services.
