November 14, 2022: Delhi Police on Saturday arrested a man for allegedly murdering and chopping his live-in partner in 35 pieces in Delhi.

The man has been identified as Aftab Ameen Poonawalla strangled his partner Shraddha on May 18 after a fight. He then chopped her body and kept in a fridge. Then after 18 days, he went out at midnight around 2 AM to dispose the parts of the body at different places.

Shradhha was woking at a call centre for a multinational company in Mumbai.

The incident came to light when Shraddha’s father on November 8 came to check her for not responding their calls in Delhi.

Both Poonawalla and Shraddha started to live together in a flat in Mehrauli after her family did not accepted their relationship.

Poonawalla got arrested based on the FIR lodged by the deceased’s father. Later, during the investigation he revealed that both of them use to fight frequently as Shraddha wanted to marry him.
