November 7, 2022: An Auto Driver, who was accused of Harassing woman, has lost his life after being hit by a vehicle while trying to escape from Civil Line Police Station in Delhi on Monday morning.



The deceased has been identified as Rahul who was a resident of Majnu ka Tilla.



A 40-year-old woman went to the police station and dodges a complaint against Rahul for misbehaving with her at the metro station. The woman who dodges the complaint drives an e-rickshaw for livelihood, she filed the complaint stating that Rahul abused and harassed her while she was waiting for passengers in North Delhi’s Civil Line metro station.



Police constable Rakesh, Prem and Naresh went to Vidhan Sabha metro station with the lady e-rickshaw driver and had found Rahul in drunk condition. The police man asked him to come to the police station.



At the police station the lady started to get aggressive, while the police men did try to calm her down. Rahul then made an attempt to evade from the scene and then got hit by an unidentified light motor vehicle.



Rahul’s family gathered outside the police station and protested, demanding to see the lady e-rickshaw driver who dodge the complaint against Rahul.



His family urged the police to take strict actions against the incident.
