November 8, 2022: Right winged leader Sanjeev Mishra shot dead in Katihar district of Bihar by an unidentified person over an old dispute on Monday morning.

The incident occurred in the Balampur police station area. The BJP leader was standing in his courtyard when two unidentified bikers shot him dead and escaped from the spot.

Hearing the gun shot the locals and family members rushed to the spot only to find the BJP leader lying in pool of blood. His family members rushed him to the nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors. Soon after his death, the locals started to protest and blocked the road demanding immediate action.

However, the body of the BJP leader was then sent for post-mortem.

 The police have suspected that the killers must have crossed Bengal border.

This was not the first assassination attempt on the BJP leader as he was shot by unidentified people in the past too which he managed to escape by narrow margin. It appears to be a case of old dispute and the matter will only be clear after the police issues statement of the family members.
