March 17, 2023: At least 8 people have been killed and around 11 rescued on Friday after a roof of potato cold storage collapsed at Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the search operation is still underway by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams. Many people are still suspected to be trapped under the debris.

Police officials informed that a case has been registered against the owners named as Ankur Agarwal and Rohit Agarwal of the cold storage. Four persons have been detained in connection to the incident and the prime accuse is on the run.

The reason behind the incident is not known yet.
