March 15, 2023: Veteran Actor Sameer Khakhar passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday morning in Mumbai at the age of 71.

The actor died due to multiple organ failures. The news of his demise was confirmed by his brother Ganesh.

According to Ganesh, the actor was facing some respiratory issues on Tuesday morning for which a doctor was called to the home. Later, he was taken to a hospital and admitted to the ICU.

The actor was popularly known for his notable roles which include one of the drunken character Khopdi from milestone TV serial Nukkad in 1986, directed by Kundan Shah and Saeed Akhtar Mirza.
