July 13, 2022: Two areas of Guwahati – Kalapahar and Sarab Bhatti would be renamed as Nilachal Nagar and Arya Nagar respectively, Guwahati Municipal Corporation Mayor Mrigen Sarania said on Wednesday.
The Corporation has also decided to rename six roads of Guwahati. Sharing the details, the Mayor said the Ulubari-Kachari Basti connecting road would now be known as Bathao Mandir Road, The BK Kakati No 1 By-Lane would be renamed as Pabitra road.
The Ulubari-Rehabari connecting road would be known as Bhaba road. The name of S S Road connecting Fancy Bazar and Lakhtokia would also be changed.
