May 13, 2022: The petrol pumps in Guwahati will remain closed today (May 13) for 24 hours. The bandh has been called by North East India Petroleum Dealers’ Association to protest against the non-clearance of dues by oil companies.

The bandh has been imposed from morning 5 AM today.

The Association has also alleged that the oil companies have been resorting to certain illegal trade practices which are against the laid out norms.

The Association has further said that if the oil companies fail to respond and meet their demand by May 15, the Association would go ahead with indefinite closure of petrol pumps from 5 AM of May 16.
