August 14, 2021: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday laid foundation stone of ‘Nature Park’ at Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board campus at Hengrabari in Guwahati.



Minister Ashok Singhal, MP Queen Oja and MLA Atul Bora were also present at the ceremony.



“The park would be built by GMDA on a plot more than 14 bighas at Rs 11.93 cr and would have watch tower, cafeteria, playing area for children, meditation centre, nursery etc.”, CM said in a tweet.



“It would also provide recreational opportunities while fulfilling need of open space in Ghy. A Botanical Garden will be built at old jail campus in Fancy Bazaar; another park is being built at Maligaon Housing Board site,” CM added.
