Kamrup (M) district reported the highest number of new cases at 263 in Assam as the state reported 5,42,445 new cases

July 15, 2021: Assam’s COVID-19 caseload mounted to 5,42,445 on Thursday as 1992 more people tested positive for the infection while 27 fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 4937, the National Health Mission bulletin said.



Kamrup (M), district reported the highest number of new cases at 263, followed by 157 in Golaghat, 135 in Lakhimpu and 125 in Dibrugarh.





The number of active cases in the state is 19,120.



Of the 27 fatalities, 3 deaths reported 5 from Jorhat, 4 from Dibrugarh, 2 each from Kamrup (M), Karbi Anglong, Cachar, Darrang, Morigaon and Sonitpur.



Total 5,17,041 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the infection so far.



The current death rate is 0.91 per cent and the number of COVID-19 positive patients dying due to other causes is 1,347.
