Kamrup (M), district reported the highest number of new cases at 237 on Monday

July 19, 2021: Assam’s COVID-19 caseload mounted to 5,49,080 on Monday as 1797 more people tested positive for the infection while 20 fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 5019, the National Health Mission bulletin said.



Kamrup (M), district reported the highest number of new cases at 237, followed by 230 in Golaghat, 135, 115 in Dibrugarh and 113 in Jorhat.



The number of active cases in the state is 16,107.



Of the 20 fatalities, 4 deaths reported each from Golaghat and Sonitpur followed by 2 from Goalpara.



Total 5,26,607 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the infection so far.



The current death rate is 0.91 per cent and the number of COVID-19 positive patients dying due to other causes is 1,347.
