October 19, 2023: Ahead of Durga Puja Festival, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the newly-constructed Shraddhanjali Flyover in Guwahati today.

The newly-constructed Shraddhanjali Flyover features three lanes on each side, starting from Sundapur to Guwahati Commerce Point and is also extended towards Geetanagar. The construction of the flyover began in 2022 at a cost of Rs 316 crore. Thereafter, the construction was completed within 19 months.

The flyover is named after Shraddhanjali Kanan which is a popular park located on RG Baruah Road, opposite the Assam State Zoo.
