September 3, 2020: Guwahati's Covid situation is turning from bad to worse everyday. Yet people are not realising the danger lying ahead.

Wednesday saw the highest single-day spike in the city. Guwahati recorded a staggering figure of 924 cases.

This was the highest single-day spike so far. The city reported 777 cases on July 4. However, despite such a high number of cases, there is little awareness among the people. Still many people are seen moving without masks or without maintaining social distancing.

Police are doing regular drives against the Covid norm violators. However, this has not achieved much as people are still in casual mood.
