December 31, 2020: After remaining closed for about nine months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Assam State Zoo has reopened for visitors on Thursday.
The Zoo which had remained closed even after plans of re-opening were initiated on December 1, has reopened today by the Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya.
As per the guidelines, the visitors will only be allowed to enter the zoo after wearing a mask. Meanwhile, the visitors can also book their tickets through online.
It may be mentioned that this time, the visitors can experience exotic wildlife such as Macau and Kangaroo.
