April 28, 2022: A vehicle carrying people to attend PM Modi's rally in Diphu met with an accident in Nagaon Kathiyatoli early on Thursday morning.

The vehicle, a traveller, was on its way from West-Karbi Anlong when it was hit by a speeding truck. Many passengers were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment.

PM Modi is on a day-long visit to Assam today. He will be taking part in the ‘Peace, Unity & Development Rally’ in Howraghat, Diphu.

He will also lay the foundation stone of Veterinary College (Diphu), Degree College (West Karbi Anglong) and Agricultural College (Kolonga, West Karbi Anglong). These projects are worth more than Rs 500 crore.

These projects are aimed at bringing new opportunities for skilling and employment in the region.
