July 2, 2020: Two more people lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Assam, taking total number of deaths to 14 in the state.

Reportedly, the deceased have been identified as Prabhudayal Vidawatka (78) and Subhash Kalita (56).

Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “With heavy heart, I share this with you all ~ we’ve lost two precious lives to the pandemic.
Late Prabhudayal Vidawatka (78) & Late Subhash Kalita (56), with comorbidities succumbed to #COVID19.
My prayers and condolences are with Vidawatka and Kalita families.”
