May 11, 2022: Two more youths from Assam have allegedly joined the banned organization United Liberation Front of Asom - Independent (ULFA- I).



The two youths are Abhilesh Bora of Moran and Manab Deka of Guwahati.



Abhilesh Bora, a singer by profession, has been missing since May 5 from his home. He had reportedly, went out to repair his mobile and never returned. He has left behind his wife and 2-year-old child. His family members are suspecting that he has joined ULFA-I and has appealed him to come back home.



On the other hand, Manab Deka who hails from Guwahati’s Geetamandir has also been missing since May 5. Through his last message to his brother he has indicated that he might have joined ULFA-I. Deka is an engineer by profession.



Earlier on May 9, a couple from Kakopathar’s Chelenguri village left their 4-year-old child to allegedly ULFA-I according to reports. The husband-wife couple, Achyut Neog and Mamta Neog, was missing for two days since then.



The reports of such influx to the outfit come days after it executed two alleged spy cadres Sanjib Sarma and Dhanjit Das in its camp according to a statement on May 7.
